All of my flutes are tuned as 6 hole flutes. By covering the third hole, they will function as a 5 hole flute in a minor pentatonic scale. If you see a flute that is sold that you like, i can make a similar flute. Same wood, same key, but each piece of wood has its own character.
This is one of the easiest musical instruments to learn to play. The pentatonic nature of the flute makes it easy to play a tune with no music training. This is similar to playing random notes on the black keys of a piano.
Many people will tell you to "play from the heart" when you play this instrument. Play what you feel!
